Nearly 200 Ford and Fordson tractors converged on Cork, Ireland on the weekend of 29th and 30th April 2006, to make what was the largest single manufacture tractor event ever held in the country.
Our programme tells this story from Friday evening through to Sunday, including the arrival of many of the exhibits, Saturday evening's road run through Cork and a detailed look at the tractors present and their place in the agricultural history of the Ford tractor.
With no less than four MOM tractors dating from 1917, through Model F tractors and the famous Model N, the amazing array of Fordson machines moves on through the E27N Major onto the Dexta, Super Dexta and the various versions of the new Major. The 6X and 6Y Ford Force models are present in abundance as well as representatives from the 600, 700 and 10 Series.
County, Roadless and Muir Hill conversions of Ford tractors join the ranks of blue machines and the largest tractor in Ireland - the mighty Ford FW60 makes its appearance. No less than two Silver Jubilee Ford 7810s, Series 40 and 60 tractors as well as the latest New Holland machines, all together in one-place makes this more than just a special event.
If you were not lucky enough to be there at the time this programme is your chance to join in the fun and witness one of the most spectacular gatherings of Ford and Fordson tractors ever seen - a totally unforgettable experience!
