In Part One of this programme we capture the pace and excitement of Caterpillar and Demag backhoes loading a fleet of Komatsu HD785 dump trucks as they maintain a constant presence, climb on board the Demag H185S to get a drivers eye view and also watch the truck fleet wind up their engines just after dawn. A Komatsu 240 face shovel is loading Moxy ADT's and a Caterpillar 16-H grader and D9-R bulldozer are seen grading and pushing dirt. We also take a ride in one of the HD 785 trucks and visit the workshop to watch an engine change.
