Harry Ferguson AND I by Michael Winter

No Longer Available

This is a true story about a man who came from humble beginnings; became a Captain of Industry and revolutionised world agriculture. Whose efforts in eliminating draught animals and human drudgery from the farms of the world stemmed from sheer genius and a determination to succeed - and whose achievements were never adequately recognised.

The book is also about a Captain in the Royal Navy, who won the DSC at the age of 15 at Gallipoli during World War I, and the DSO and 2 bars during World War II.

It is also about another survivor who served under both of these unique individuals with considerable admiration, humility and dedication.

In 1947 the author became the Personal Assistant and Private Secretary to Harry Ferguson, a job when advertised received over 1000 applicants. The author has the background and experience to offer an interesting insight into the character and personality of Harry Ferguson.
