We still have a few copies of this book available. It was published in 1988 by a local spark plug collector. It contains an interesting guide to early types of ignition systems. There is a detailed description of early flame ignition internal combustion engines, hot tube systems and leading up to the early battery powered spark ignition systems of the late 1800's.
The bulk of the book contains pictures and diagrams illustrating spark plugs that were made from 1902 up to 1959. A lot of these illustrations are taken from period spark plug advertising literature.
There are three sets of tables listing engine and spark plug specifications, and lastly there is a explanation of different thread sizes, and why they are used.
