Power in the Past V3 - Stover Mfg. & Engine Co.

No Longer Available

Yet another well researched and comprehensive company history from C.H. Wendel. This book covers the complete product range of the Stover Engines Works.

It starts off with early products such as staple machines, spring coilers, but soon leads to the early Stover engines of 1902. Such models as Style V, Style K, Style Y and more are described. Included are the larger semi-diesel engines that ranged from 6 to 60 horsepower.

Into the 1930's the more modern looking Style DVA air-cooled engines are described, followed by the MV series, and badged Hercules engines.. In 1935 a conventional diesel engine was offered, which basically was the last in the range of Stover engines.

Also covered are the pumps, grain grinders, saw benches, and windmills (sold under the name Samson).

There are useful extracts of important information from instruction manuals for a lot of the different engines, as well as a serial number list which is useful in dating an engine.
